Welcome to my blog! This is my first post, please go easy on me. It has been quite a ride to get where I am and I wouldn’t change a thing. First off, I want to thank my family, especially my wife Jen, who always supports me in my endeavors.
I started my working career in the hospitality industry, specifically golf course and restaurant management. I have met many people, and made friends with a select few who I love and would not be where I am today if not for the skills they have bestowed upon me.
I was constantly told that technology was where I belong. So, with the support of my wife, I, bravely, leaped into a big change. I ended up taking a break from the workforce and focused solely on raising my infant son and spending 10-12 hours/day online, working hard toward my B.S in Software Development. It took just over a month to get a job, and my foot in the door toward the career I desperately wanted, to be a part of the Virtual and Augmented Reality future.
Roughly a year ago, I started working at Viacom Inc., now ViacomCBS Inc., as tech support for the XR and IoT Innovation labs. I have since taken on engineering and product/project manager responsibilities, and I love it all. I will gladly take on new challenges and go wherever this reality takes me.
